E_VIS` never recorded German Christmas Album

Am 1.10.1958 kommt der 23-jährige Elvis Presley in Bremerhaven an. Er dient in den nächsten 17 Monaten seinem Vaterland – im hessischen Friedberg. Der Nachbarort Bad Nauheim wird sein deutsches Zuhause. Am 2. 3.1960 fliegt Elvis zurück in die U.S.A. In dieser Zeit hat er zweimal Weihnachten in Deutschland gefeiert. Er hat nie ein deutsches Weihnachtsalbum aufgenommen. Wie hätte das geklungen, wenn Elvis mit seiner akustischen Gitarre in Bad Nauheim in´s Studio gegangen wäre um deutschsprachige Weihnachtslieder aufzunehmen? E_VIS a Tribute by Shawn gibt uns ein Gefühl dafür, wie es gewesen sein könnte. Er entführt uns in das weihnachtliche Bad Nauheim von 1958/59. Die Glocken der Dankeskirche, ein Radiomoderator und sieben der schönsten deutschsprachigen Weihnachtslieder in der Tradition von „Muß i denn zum Städtele hinaus“
On 01/10/1958 a 23-year-old young man arrives in Bremerhaven. Elvis Presley serves in the United States Army for the next seventeen months – in Friedberg, Hessen. The neighboring town of Bad Nauheim is his German home. On 2 3.1960 Elvis flies back to the US During his stay in Germany he has celebrated Christmas in Germany twice. But he never recorded a German Christmas album. How could that sounded when Elvis and his guitar would have gone in a Bad Nauheim recording studio to record German Christmas carols? E_VIS (A Tribute by Shawn) gives us a sense of how it might have been. He takes us into the Christmas Bad Nauheim from 1958/59. On this album, you hear the original bells of the “Bad Nauheim Dankeskirche”, a radio host and seven of the most beautiful German Christmas carols in the tradition of “Muß i denn zum Städtele hinaus”
